Because I Reacted Late to Sherlock's Return

Reporters: When will the second episode air?
Sherlock Holmes: In four days time.
Reporters: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAH!

SPOILER ALERT!

As if the thumbnail for this post isn't enough to convey that message. As well as the title. I'm just making up a paragraph so my reactions on the latest episode of the famed and long-awaited (literally) TV series BBC's Sherlock - which is now on it's 3rd season -  won't appear on the snippet view of this post.

The followers of the show waited for the seemingly mandatory two years during the interim between seasons of the series but they were adamant on their love for the TV adaptation of Doyle's beloved literary series. They subsisted on conspiracy theories of how the titular character survived the fall which the producers decided was the best moment to end the second season and start the grueling two-year lull. Believe me, being part of the fandom myself, theories were as simple as a body swap to a more bizarre one which involves unbelievable things that Sherlock wouldn't even dare of thinking.

Now, these loyal people will have the confirmation they need for their theories. Debunked or not, they will watch and savor every second of the 86-minute pilot episode of the third season of Sherlock. Here are my reactions on several scenes (guess what scenes they are, while you're at it) of the said episode. Like I said, spoiler alert. Continue at your own risk:

Anderson (or whoever he is) is Sherlock fandom personified with his theory. Not bad.

Two years ago. Hohoho. That is how long you kept Sherlock dead but the fandom kept on waiting.

KILL. THE. MOUSTACHE. JOHN.

Even Mrs. Hudson disagrees. BURN THAT THING.

And Sherlock. That's a lot of people now. KILL IT!

Mrs. Hudson is a shipper. JohnLock ship sets sail from the "grave".

O, Missus, you had us at all at "What's HIS name?" and "You HAVE really moved on" and "Live and let live, that's my motto".

Egocentric Sherlock claiming John. Hmmmm.

Sherlock going all Italian French (pardon).

And John didn't catch that quite well, Sherlock.

Deflated Sherlock is deflated. Go get his wine.

That's your question, Sherlock?!! Really now!

NO JOHN! THE WHOLE FANDOM WANTS TO KNOW HOW HE FAKED IT!

AND I FUCKING THOUGHT THAT WAS HOW GATISS THOUGHT OF THAT! Girl, you with your wild ideas.

And the 'Empty Hearse' group was the fandom forum incarnate. Gatiss, you sure know how to say thank you to us for 2 years of waiting.

He is shaving! Heavens, thank you!

God. Even Mary ships JohnLock. Who's on the way of this couple now?

Sherlock misses John. Come on, when will they get back together, Gatiss? And he calls Molly 'John'. Awwww.

Gaaaahd. Kung sa Maynila yan, buraot na sila sa traffic at tustado na si John.

And a plot patterned on Guy Fawkes' Gunpowder Plot. Cool.

Anderson is, indeed, the Sherlock fandom personified. Gone all loco after hearing the (simple) truth.

Fuck you, Sherlock. Fuck you. *laughs with him*

And here's a little something to end the post. Courtesy of one of my good friend who's part of the fandom herself:

Thanks, Ally, for the screenshots!

P.S. Next episode's four days away from the first. Wow. These guys are planning to bombard January with so much Sherlock feels. Damnit.
