Not your ordinary tea party.

Tonight, the Tea Party was held in our college to continue the long-lived tradition of holding the said college activity annually to welcome the freshman in the UPCN family. More like our college's very own acquaintance party to the freshies. But we put the notch to as high as it can get! This year, our batch - the juniors, who're usually the ones tasked to prepare this college event - will be hosting the tea party alongside the college's student council. Just to give you a background of our batch, all I can say is that we like to party hard. Real hard. And combine that with our task to prepare for this party, I guess you pretty much get the idea of our version of the tea party.
Yeay! I helped in laying the black lines. Yes, even the last line. :))

This year, our theme is celebrity night and attendants are highly encouraged to dress up as a celebrity, and dress-up they did! It's like wandering in a post-Oscars party plus a post-Grammy party plus different kinds of parties attended by celebs! There's Hayley Williams and Rihanna from the music industry, Neil Etheridge from the sports world, Kuya Kim from the local celebrity line-up and many many more!

Told ya, they were there! Even the great dancer with the box on his head from LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem MV
TOAST! Gave half of mine to my green tea-loving wife.
This year, I (and perhaps most of the students) also get to know the history of the college's Tea Party, its roots and its aim. Since our college was originally based in the flasgship university in Diliman and was exclusively for girls back then, the tea party was used as a venue to showcase the social graces taught (yes, there was even a course in the program that taught students the proper way to talk, handle a teacup and other social etiquette) to the students. They also invite students from their neighboring colleges, namely the College of Law and the College of Engineering. Pretty much like bringing all the boys in the yard, except we used tea to bring them to the yard, not milkshake. And to commemorate the event's namesake, our batch - for the first time - included a tea toasting ceremony. Hehe. And we used real tea of course, C2 green tea, that is!

Everybody did their part to welcome the freshies to the UPCN community. From our beloved professors to our talented classmates, we did our best to perform. \m/
And since this is a party, the programme included production numbers from the different college-based organizations, four batches and even from the faculty, which is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too good to miss, I daresay! I guess our batch threw one helluva party to welcome the freshmen to the UPCN family. And we served cheese nachos and brownies. A real treat for the batch preparing for the activity since we get to take care of the leftoveeeeeeeeeeeers. :))
See?! Party is like our breathing to us, 2013. It's freakin' innate! And see those flaunting jackets? They're exclusively made for the batch!
Next stop, Nursecissism - where the college org that I'm in is tasked to prepare. And this time, it's a real battle between the batches as there will be batch presentations competing against one another to win the Best Performance of the Night Award, Best Male Artist and many more. 2013, we ought to prepare ASAP. Or at least when we get to have enough sleep to attend batch practices.

P.S. Good thing I didn't rant about this being my first post and all. Not yet.

This is Paulo Ross.
