Last week was supposedly our only free week before our duty-a-thon commences this Monday. Too bad it was marred by the endless rains, thanks to the typhoons who're so eager to finish the alphabet of storms and reach "Z". What choice of work do I have in a school-less two-day "vacation" ? Coop up in front of my laptop and *gasp* read modules - especially my Statistics module - PowerPoint lectures and other "meaningful" things I only do on school days. Gaaaaaah. I was freakin' saturated that I decided to start reading my stack of unread literary works, starting with Rice's
Interview with the Vampire. Woe to me and my sleep-deprived body that I am nowhere done reading the book before my face fell flat in my pillow. So I promised to work on preparing for my clinical duties by working on the templates for my paper requirements, reading up on some skills that I may be doing in the area and pretty much preparing myself holistically for the energy-draining task ahead of me.

Everything went flawless as it can get until two days ago when our batch prepared hard core for a college event. Damn, all preparation went to waste as we danced our mortal bodies to the beat of Rebecca Black's
Friday, Katy Perry's
Last Friday Night and LMFAO's
Party Rock Anthem. Then it was Tea Part night and partying we did! I went home, still not recovered from the party's festivities that I went to sleep at around 4 in the morning, browsing the wide expanse of the Internet to my heart's content. Alas, my mom woke me up the next day to eat lunch.

After lunch, I decided to tinker with the newest addition to dad's "stockpile". And splatted right in the desktop is a clear copy of
X-Men: First Class. What do you think I did next? Watch it, of course! Although my GC mind did not give an easy fight with my impulsive ego. Weighing the pros and cons of watching the movie but the tête-à-tête between my two egos ended with my "accidental" double-clicking of the icon, "accidental" plugging of my headset and "accidental" sitting in the sofa.
After watching the film, guilt sets in to be exacerbated by the sudden electrical black-out that lasted for around three and a half hours, two of which I had spent in my bedroom, dozing off to my private Dreamland. Perhaps my 20th century mind has been longing for the electricity to come back that I had an Inception-esque dream wherein I woke up with the lights on and the appliances running up and about! Of course, my dream-self jumped up and down in bliss only to wake up with the lights still off. Can't remember the rest of that dream but I woke up (completely) from dreaming at around seven in the evening. Lights still off. I decided to stare at the tranquil flame of the candle. Good thing the camera has some juice left so I went wild with it, taking shots of the flame - imma upload the pictures later, or when I find time to upload them. It was a gloomy (pun unintended) night indeed and you can just imagine how happy I was when the electricity came back! It felt that it even surged through me, enabling me to shout out in a hoarse, raspy voice, "MAY KURYENTE NAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Now, I'm starting to type the last paragraph of this entry. Hopefully, after this entry, my mind will struggle to control my body to print the templates, read on some skills and prepare myself holistically. Prioritization is, indeed, a key.
