On Weekends and Happiness

I got a little pumplier. My clothes got a lot whiter. I slept a tad longer. And my soul got a lot lighter. These are but a few things that occur when I go home every weekend during the past semesters. More so this weekend after spending, no scratch that, being tortured in Manila for the past month and 25 days (yes, I computed to the last day of my temporary reprieve from that Hellish place).

I've been looking forward to this weekend for the past months and even prepared for it, which included my self-imposed Internet-ban and all. But to my unexpected surprise, here I am, posting this blog entry in the Net. What the actual f*ck. So what else did I do instead of bonding with my family...and all that? I revived my inner childhood by searching for the Age of Empires II CD installer and to my surpirise, I found a CD installer of the entire game series, expansion packs included! Woah, right? Then I downloaded another computer game that I wasted my childhood on: Theme Hospital. Think of Sims but you play not as God but as a owner of hospitals, building clinics and facilities and hiring health professionals. Though not as detailed as Sims, it still got the beejezuz out of me that I lost a Saturday afternoon playing it. Yes, I regress that much.

Good things must come to an end. Or so they say. Tomorrow morning, I have to drag myself to eat, take a bath and bid farewell to my little piece of Cloud Nine and face the harsh reality of Manila and College life. Guess I'm too busy (or distracted, depends on what window is currently active in my laptop right now) to write a full-blown article regarding my appreciation of going home on weekends.
