Some have it easy. Some have it worse.

Some have it easy.
The partner gets drunk.
Inhibitions start to fall.
Brothel is just next door.
The partner cheats on you.
You realize what the partner did.
You call it quits.
The partner asks for another chance.
All rules of logic tell you "No!"
That going back is a stupid Walk of Shame.
You rebuff the partner.
It hurts, yes, but it's what must be done.
Some have it easy.

Some have it worse.
The partner gets real and calls it quits.
You are caught off-guard, left to asking questions.
The partner insists on breaking up.
You ask "Why?", confusion breaking your voice.
The partner answers with vague replies.
The partner leaves.
You are left on your own.
Trying to understand what the fuck just happened.
The partner asks for another chance
No rules of logic can tell you what to do.
You can welcome the partner back,
And probably be happy with the person again.
Or you can suffer the same emotionally draining cycle.
Or you can say "No" and be happy with your choice,
Or you can say "No" and doubt your answer.
Some have it worse.
